Municipalities and businesses in B.C., Alta., Man., Ont., Que. N.B., P.E.I. and N.S. joined the project to make free sunscreen available for public use. The initiative is led by Save Your Skin Foundation, a national patient-led non-profit dedicated to the fight against melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer and ocular melanoma. The pilot is in its third year and initially had 10 dispensers across the country.
