Toronto startup develops digital health platform for house calls

MediSeen developed an app and an online portal that allows patients to have providers visit them at home. Patients can set the appointment time and will have access to physicians, acupuncturists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, social workers, etc. The platform also saves users' personal health data, which can be viewed or downloaded. The platform is only available in the Greater Toronto Area but MediSeen plans to roll it out in other parts of Canada. Physicians are reimbursed by the Ont. government, while patients must pay for paramedical services and then seek reimbursement through their private insurer if applicable.
