Twenty-six organizations were involved in a two-year workplace mental health pilot project designed by Mindful Employer Canada and the Ontario government. It included case studies, roundtable conversations and education sessions for managers, dealing with topics such as conflict, bullying, performance management, communication skills, social support and resilience. Among the initial findings of the project was that managers' understanding of the legal requirements of accommodating workers with mental illnesses increased from 52% at the beginning of the study, to 84% by its conclusion.
