The app connects elders in his community with a driver who takes them to all kinds of healthcare appointments and offers translation support at appointments. Those behind the Madawaska Elder Initiative say the program improved healthcare outcomes for elders who are taking part. Since the app launched in 2020, more than two-thirds of the elders have been using it, with many using it almost every week. The app evolved to include the ability to request homecare and other services, such as assistance with groceries and pharmacy pickups.
