U de M study finds docs, nurses want more control over their work

Researchers at l’Université de Moncton say nurses and doctors are looking for more control over decision-making, workplace environment and patient care. The research was undertaken to support Vitalité Health Network in identifying and implementing strategies to promote physician and RN retention, particularly those in the linguistic minority. The project comes as the network is trying to fill hundreds of vacancies as there’s a growing staff shortage in the province, which was magnified by the pandemic.
