Consisting of University of Alberta (UofA) graduate students, the group Student Advocates for Public Health (SAPH) explains the loneliness epidemic on campus that arose during the pandemic is worsening. To combat the isolation of the university experience for some students, SAPH initiated the "It Starts With Hello" campaign. It promotes social engagement by breaking down barriers in an informal way. Posters across the UofA campus bear conversation starters or QR codes for students to access games and other resources from their cellphones.
