In the report In Balance, the NBHC has observed that communities that focus on achieving the right balance between the treatment of mental illnesses and the promotion of mental health show better outcomes for children and youth. This balance can be achieved by integrating assets from community partners and from publicly funded services.
This letter was sent to the Minister of Health on July 20, 2020 by NBHC chair Roger Léger. It discusses some concerns shared by Council members with regards to results from the 2019 edition of the Acute Care Survey.
The purpose of the New Brunswick Student Wellness Survey (NBSWS) is to examine students' perceptions, attitudes and behaviours in a number of key areas related to student well-being. It is a provincial initiative of the New Brunswick Department of Social Development - Wellness Branch in cooperation with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Data collection and analysis is carried out by the NBHC. A summary of key indicators, including comparisons with the 2015-2016 edition of the survey, is appended to the end of some reports.
