About

This indicator is the percentage of citizens who used French during their last consultation with their primary care provider who prefer French.

Source

New Brunswick Health Council, Primary Health Survey and Primary Care Survey

Calculations

This indicator is based on respondents who have a family doctor or a nurse practitioner and who consulted with them in the last 12 months and whose last consultation was in French. This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of respondents who answered "yes, I prefer French" by the number of respondents who answered "yes, I prefer French, no, I prefer English, no, I prefer a language other than French or English or I don’t have a preference between French and English" to the question: Is French the language you prefer for consultations with your family doctor or your nurse practitioner?
