Calculations

This indicator adds the responses to the following 2 individual questions: 'Yesterday, how many times did you eat/consume: a) vegetables, including fresh, cooked, frozen or canned vegetables?' and 'Yesterday, how many times did you eat/consume: b) Fruit (for example, fresh, frozen, canned or dried fruits; do not include fruit juice or fruit flavoured candies)?'. The response options for these 2 individual questions are: none, 1 time, 2 times, 3 times, 4 times, 5 times, 6 times, 7 times or more and I do not know. This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of respondents who have a total of '5 times or more' by the number of respondents who answered at least 1 of the 2 individual questions.

Notes

Due to the very low response rate for the 2023-2024 parent questionnaire, survey results are deemed to be not representative of the overall student and parent population. Therefore, results at the school, district, sector, and provincial levels are not to be used for planning or comparing to previous editions of the survey. Some schools will not receive their K to 5 results due to the extremely low number of parents who responded.
