Calculations

This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of respondents who answered "above average (mostly A’s and B’s/ 80 - 89%) or excellent (mostly A’s/ 90% or more)" by the number of respondents who answered "poor (mostly letter grades below C’s/ 59% or less), below average (mostly C’s/ 60 - 69%), average (mostly B’s and C’s/ 70 - 79%, above average (mostly A’s and B’s/ 80 - 89%) or excellent (mostly A’s/ 90% or more)" to the question: Which of the following best describes your academic achievement during the last year?

Users are advised to exercise caution if comparing data from the community of Grand Bay-Westfield, Westfield, Greenwich Area to other New Brunswick communities. The data for the community of Grand Bay-Westfield, Westfield, Greenwich Area is based on students in grades 6 to 8, while data from the other communities are based on students in grades 6 to 12.
