Calculations

This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of respondents who answered "none, less than 1 hour a day or 1 to 2 hours a day" by the number of respondents who answered "none, less than 1 hour a day, 1 to 2 hours a day, more than 2 but less than 5 hours a day or 5 or more hours a day" to the question: On average, about how many hours a day do you watch / stream TV shows or movies; play video / computer games; FaceTime; text / SMS; use instant messaging (for example, Facebook chat, Snapchat); surf the Internet; email; use other social media (for example, Facebook, Twitter, apps, Instagram, games, YouTube, etc.)?

Notes

Users are advised to exercise caution if comparing data from the community of Grand Bay-Westfield, Westfield, Greenwich Area to other New Brunswick communities. The data for the community of Grand Bay-Westfield, Westfield, Greenwich Area is based on students in grades 6 to 8, while data from the other communities are based on students in grades 6 to 12. Survey results are assigned to communities based on the location of the school. The community of Grand Bay-Westfield, Westfield, Greenwich Area does not have any schools with grades 9 to 12.
