Source

Calculations

This indicator is calculated by doing the 'sum of the values provided by the respondents' divided by 'the total number of respondents' to 5 individual questions on how they feel about the area where they live: People say ‘hello' and often stop to talk to each other in the street, it is safe for younger children to play outside during the day, you can trust people around here, there are good places to spend your free time (e.g., recreation centres, parks, shopping centres) and I could ask for help or a favour from neighbours. The response options for these 5 items are: strongly disagree, disagree, neither agree nor disagree, agree and strongly agree.
