Population Health Snapshot
Initial publication: March 15, 2022
Data frameworks
Think about how many people, when they try to remember the alphabet, use the rhythm of the children’s song as a guide. The song works as a framework, helping them to create smaller chunks of information that they work with easily.
Population Health Model
Many factors influence how well and how long we live. Having access to housing, employment, education, adequate health services, and safe communities, for example.
Dimensions of Quality
What do you think of when you hear the word “quality?” How well something is made or something is done? The value you get for the money it costs? Or the confidence that you will have a good experience instead of a bad one?
The Data Collection Process
Before reporting to the public about population health and health service quality, the NBHC must collect and analyse data. The data we collect comes either from our own surveys or from external sources.
