The Hospital Acute Care Survey is conducted every three years to assess the quality of hospital care experienced by patients in New Brunswick.
The 2026 edition will be carried out between June and November 2026. During each cycle, more than 6,000 New Brunswickers share their hospital care experiences.
If you are 18 years or older and had at least one overnight stay in a New Brunswick hospital for medical, surgical, or maternity care between April and July 2026, you may be selected to participate.
Eligible patients will receive a confidential, bilingual paper survey by mail after being discharged from hospital. An online survey option will also be available. To ensure broad and representative participation, a reminder postcard and a second survey package will be sent.
Patients’ feedback plays an important role in helping New Brunswickers understand and improve the quality of hospital services across the province.
