About this Table

The physical environment in which we live, work and relax, is represented by the quality of the built environment as well as the natural environment.

Content and description

Information on households and places of work, transportation to and from work/school or healthcare services and green spaces. It also includes indicators related to the quality of the air, water, land and energy. 
            
Why is this important?

The decisions we make regarding our transportation, housing, industry, water use, energy use and waste management all have a direct influence on the quality and length of life.

Availability of the data

Indicators from a variety of sources are collected, organized, and analyzed by the NBHC. These data sources are used to represent the population health of New Brunswickers. Each have various levels of reliability and limitations as detailed in the Indicator pages.

The information for this data table is available for the 33 NBHC Communities, 7 Health Zones and for New Brunswick overall.
